I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose for which Christ Jesus laid hold of me to make me his own

Part of the beauty of being a Christian is that we get to 'come as we are, but not stay as we are'. We GET to become more like Jesus each day as we let God's love in, accept what Jesus paid for us to have and rely on the Holy Spirit to help us navigate daily life.
We get to go into the Promised Land that God is inviting us to inhabit.
Problem is...there are giants that will try to intimidate us into seeing ourselves as grasshoppers (Num 13:33) and if we let them succeed, we'll turn around and run.
