I've heard myself saying, "oooh, she really shouldn't have worn that"
or
"you're always so negative and I just can't take it any more"
Because if we're honest with ourselves, it can be far easier to see the 'dirt' in someone than calling out the 'gold' in them.
The world can be so focused on pulling each other down (just watch the news for a moment...) that before we know it, we think that way too.
But wait...
What if there is a way to ask God how He sees the person in front of you?
- What makes them special in His eyes?
- What delights His heart about them?
- What is really going on behind the things you see on the surface - and how does He want to love on them?
