God’s Help Is Always On Time

We have all experienced the (sometimes excruciating) gap between praying, and receiving an answer to our prayers.

It can feel like God doesn’t know how important this is to us, and we can get frustrated.

Over this Easter weekend there is a very similar analogy that really helps us to see the Truth that God’s answer is always on time.

 

𝐎𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝.

It looked like a complete loss for Jesus, and a total victory for the enemy. The disciples were distraught, grieving, confused, angry, scared… and they didn’t know what to do next.

 

On Saturday – nothing. Quiet. No answers. No victory. Sitting with the loss of all that they had put their hopes in. Jesus was gone and they felt alone.

 

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲.

 

The ‘answer’ to their situation came in a way that they never would have suspected.

 

𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝!

 

...and equipped them to continue the work that they had seen Him do. And victory was assured not only for them, but for all of mankind.

Mind blown…

 

In today’s episode you’ll discover how God’s help is always on time. He is ALWAYS at work to bring His will for your life to pass.

It doesn’t matter that you don’t’ see Him.

It makes no difference if you don’t know what’s going on.

It’s not up to you to figure it out,

because He’s got a plan.

Process your day with God

“I’m so mad - and I just have to tell someone or I’ll burst”

 

We all have times when things push every trigger of ours and we’re overwhelmed by emotion and NEED to say something just to relieve the pressure.

 

This was one of those times, and I drove home from work intent on telling my husband ALL about it when I walked through the door.

 

The poor man got an earful and was totally unequipped to deal with the level of what was going on inside of me. He sat there with his best ‘deer in headlights’ expression – and that made me even more mad!

 

That’s when I heard Jesus say to me, “Hey Lisa, you’re not being fair to him. He wasn’t made to be your savior. I am”

 

*Mic drop*

 

I said, “sorry Lord” and then turned around and apologized to my husband too.

 

Jesus was right of course. We’re not meant to be the ones who save each other, only He can do that.

 

“So, what do I do with all the pressure I feel on the inside of me Lord?”

 

“Come to Me FIRST. I’ll listen and help you process everything BEFORE you speak to a person. Then, once you and I have gone through things together, you’ll be able to look at your circumstances in a different light (and be way gentler on those around you too 😉).

How To Overcome Uncomfortable Circumstances

 

Sometimes when you look at your calendar for the day, there are appointments on it that you just don’t want to go to.

 

Maybe it’s a meeting with someone that rubs you up the wrong way

Or it’s a long drive on a very hot day

Or you’re scared of what the topic of conversation will be.

 

As I set out on a day like this, I realized that I really wasn’t looking forward to the appointment I was going to. I could feel myself being grumpy about it and the more I let those thoughts swirl through my head, the more grumpy I got.

 

Until Jesus interrupted my thinking with a simple and profound question. “Lisa, do you remember that you’re the one bringing light to the situation - not the other way around?”

 

Wow!

 

My thinking took a 180 degree turn and I began to ask Him about what He wanted to bring to the appointment, instead of what I was dreading.

 

Well, the whole day shifted as I accepted His invitation to think about how Heaven could be brought into every place He and I got to go that day.

God’s Mercies Are New Every Morning

God’s mercies are new every morning, great is His faithfulness.

 

I’ve never quite looked at the famous verses in Lamentations 3 this way before.

Sure, the words are immortalized in a song we’ve probably all sung, but something new struck me as I talked with my friend.

 

He was sharing how hard his day had been, and how he wasn’t looking forward to going in to work the next day. (Let’s face it - like we all do sometimes when it’s been a difficult one).

 

The Holy Spirit popped Lamentations 3:22-23 into our conversation and we realized that God had promised him not only mercy for today, but for tomorrow too!

In today’s episode I’ll unpack the real meaning of the word ‘mercy’ in this context. You will be deeply encouraged that God knows EXACTLY what is going on in your life, and He has a brilliant gift of mercy just waiting for you to unwrap with Him each day.

God’s mercies are new every morning, great is His faithfulness.

Be Still And Know That I Am God

I leaned over and panic whispered to my friend, “my backpack is gone and it has EVERYTHING in it”

 

I’d only been gone for a few minutes and I thought it was safe, but now I was faced with having to make my way home from the conference with no car keys and no driver’s license.

 

Panic and fear hit me hard, and it took the Holy Spirit whispering in my ear to calm me down long enough to hear what He wanted to say.

 

In His great kindness, what He said to me in the next few moments radically changed my outlook.

 

I went from panic to instant peace.

 

In today’s episode you’ll hear how the wisdom of God really has the ability to help us ‘be still and know that I am God’

 

And, how willing He is to show us how to handle any situation if we’ll listen to Him from that still place.

 

So, I encourage you to accept His invitation to “be still and know that I am God” – it really is the best way to live.

How To Intentionally Love on People

Have you ever sent or received a text message or a gift from someone ‘out of the blue’ and it’s EXACTLY what you needed?

It always touches me so deeply that God would send what I need through someone (and at just the right time too)!

The Power of Positive Thinking

The biggest gift God has given us is life. A life where Jesus paid for us to live in His love, care and provision for us.

 

The biggest gift we can give to God, is our “yes”.

 

I can only imagine that this gift has caused His heart to experience both devastating lows as well as ecstatic highs – as we use our free will to choose Him, or not.

 

And it’s not only in the big decision of salvation, but it’s also in the million little decisions we make throughout our day.

 

Whether to worry, or have faith.

Whether to be stressed, or at peace.

Whether to do life our own way, or ask for wisdom and follow it.

 

These are all choices that we make over and over again every day.
