God asked me one day, “Lisa, are you
being driven by fear
Or
led by dreams?
Well, that stopped me in my tracks.
As I sat and thought that through, I realized that the fear I was feeling to make a decision quickly, was ‘driving’ me and I felt all the ‘stress feels’.
Let’s be honest with ourselves…this happens to all of us.
In His kindness, God loves to help us stop, check in with what’s motivating us and then move forward from peace instead of fear.
Be encouraged as you listen to today’s episode where I’ll share how God helps us to be LED by Him, rather than being driven.

God is always communicating. Even when we can't seem to hear what He's saying, He is still connecting with us in so many different ways.
- A thought to send someone a text with an encouraging Bible verse
- A beautiful flower along the path on your morning walk
- Thinking about someone and praying through their circumstances with Him
They're like beautiful little gifts that we receive throughout our day.
He loves to partner with us in this way and bring joy to us and to everyone around us. We see His intentional goodness throughout the day and we get to share it.
As you go through your day, ask the Holy Spirt to help you be aware of what He is doing. To bring to your attention how you get to partner with Him to steward the gifts He's given not only you, but those around you too.

There is a HUGE privilege that God gives each one of us every day - the privilege to bless His heart and put a big smile on His face.
Can you even begin to fathom that? We GET to love on God by blessing His heart. We GET to be a safe place for His heart to be. We GET to affect the heart of the Creator of the Universe. How astounding is that!

People you're just getting to know, and people you've known for a long time.
Jesus tells us that the way the world will know that we are His disciples, is by the love we have for one another...
And what if we intentionally showed that love to the person we get to be standing in front of at any given moment in the day?
It's a REAL privilege to be interacting with each other and to have the opportunity to see each other through God's eyes.
Try it throughout your day and you'll look at people in a whole new way.

"When God's Truth is drawing you, then your pain isn’t driving you"
This is the pearl of wisdom Holy Spirit whispered to me one day as I was stuck in the swirl of feeling frustrated.
I was so deeply 'in the thick of things' that I felt like I was in a paper bag trying to fight my way out.
And, just as His Word always does, this nugget of Truth set me free.
As I was coaching a client this morning, I could tell that they were in that same place.
You know, the place where we hear ourselves saying, "but I've tried all I know to do" or "I'm trying to follow God's voice but I just can't..."
So as we walked through their circumstances with Holy Spirit, He showed them the Truth, and gently turned their perspective from one of 'stuck' to one of 'identity-affirming possibility'.
As you listen to today's podcast, let God rewrite the narrative that's been playing in your head, and step into who YOU get to be in the plan He has for your life.
It's amazingly liberating to be led by His solutions vs being driven by fear.

God knows the future - right?
He knows all that will happen from now and throughout eternity.
And is plans for humanity are good. Right?
His plans for your life are good. His plans for your community, are good. His plans for our planet, are good.
So when He invites us to come to Him and ask Him what those plans are (and that He'll show them to us), it's an invitation we get to say "yes" to. Right?

On a zoom call today my coaching client looked at me and said, "I'm really liking and appreciating myself these days"
Wow - I must admit that I'm more used to hearing us talk about how we think we've fallen short of what we think God is expecting of us, rather than celebrating who He made us to be (and liking ourselves too).
It put a huge smile on my face to hear my client genuinely enjoying the way God created them to be. To be praising Him because of the way He knit them together in their mother's womb (Psa 139:13-14)

You know when you meet someone for the first time and you just 'click'?
You cant really explain it but you feel like you've known each other for way longer than you actually have - and it feels so good.
I reckon we feel that way because God wants us to connect with that person and our spirit confirms it. It's as if the connection clicks in the natural and in the spirit.
Part of the beauty of God's plan for us to be the Body of Christ, is that we connect with each other and do life inter-dependently. We're not supposed to be 'lone ranger's', but rather an interconnected body that supports and helps each other to function in the best way possible.
