Provision vs Income

In Deu 8:17 God reminds us not boast and say that we have made our way in life. Then in verse 18, He tells us to remember that He will give us the ability to make wealth so that He can keep His promise to us.

There is a saying that a lot of us have heard. "Don't put your eggs in one basket, but ensure you have multiple streams of income"

It seems like sound advice right? Well, Jesus is inviting you on an adventure to see how He views that and how much MORE He has available for you.

Let ‘Impossible’ Be An Invitation To Miracles

We all face situations that look ‘impossible. We’ve analyzed all the facts, we’ve thought through all the possibilities and we’ve looked at all the angles - yet we still can’t see a way forward.

In John 16:32-33 Jesus says, “I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.”

Take all your ‘impossible’ situations and let Him show you how He is actively planning on bringing about miracles in your life (Eph 3:20-21)

Please Open The Door

When someone knocks on your front door, you hear the knock (the physical response to the sound), you listen to it (acknowledge that it happened and what it’s requesting) and you heed it (take action - either open it or not).

 

In Rev 3:20 Jesus is the One Who is knocking at your door. He knows you hear Him and are listening, but it’s your choice to take action - open it and let Him come in, or not. 

 

His promise of #AdventuresWithJesusToday for you? If you decide to let Me in, I will come and spend today with you and do life with you, and you with Me. 

Imagine the possibilities!

 

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me.

Rev 3:20 (AMP)

 

Jesus is inviting you on an adventure, today. Will you accept?

Don't Be Afraid, I'm With You

There are things that make us afraid. Things that are particular to us because of the life experiences we have been through.

- It could be that you were bullied at school and that has made you afraid of speaking your mind in a meeting at work.
- Maybe you’ve had your heart broken and now you struggle to commit to a long-term relationship because you don’t want to get hurt.
- What if you tried really, really hard to achieve something and it failed and now it’s just not worth the effort to try hard again.

These fears are like our own personal ‘valley of the shadow of death’ and that’s not a place we like to go.

There is hope. Jesus promises that even though we will walk through these valleys in our lives, He will go with us.

Psa 23:4
Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.

The Ability To Get Wealth

As I watch the news, and talk to people, the topic of finances and provision almost always find a way into the conversation. 

I went, and am on, an adventure with Jesus into the promise in Deuteronomy 8:17-18 and asked Him what it means that He gives us the power and ability to get wealth. He unpacked what the difference is between short term money and long term wealth and showed me 3 parts of the promise that we can believe for:

Wisdom - what to do
Ability - how to do it
Grace - Who is doing it with us
