Do you know just how special you are? God handcrafted you with such care, love, and purpose. Every detail of who you are was designed by Him, and you are a beautiful reflection of His creativity and love.
In a world that often tries to define us by external standards, it's easy to fall into the trap of believing the lies that say we're not enough, or that we need to conform to be accepted. But the truth is, you don't need to change a thing to be loved by God. He loves you just as you are, without any of the adornments or masks we sometimes feel pressured to wear.

Change is HARD!
It can feel wobbly and uncertain and like we’re out of control. Ugh!
So many of my coaching clients come for a session when they’re in the middle of a ‘knowing of transition’, seeking counsel and guidance to know what to do with the feelings of frustration and angst. It’s legit!

Let me tell you what typically happens…I catch myself thinking about something that’s going on in my life and I realize that I’m feeling…
➔ Scared
➔ Worried
➔ Upset
➔ Confused
➔ Anxious
➔ Frustrated
And then it’s like I suddenly ‘come to my senses’ and realize that thinking this way doesn’t feel very good at all.
It doesn’t line up with the abundant life that Jesus said I get to live (in John 10:10), but feels more like the ‘kill, steal destroy’ thoughts of the enemy instead You experience this too, right?
You know what, it’s a common thing that happens to us all. But here’s the shot of hope that God wants to give us all today – we don’t have to agree with the enemy because we can agree with Him instead!

I remember being taught how to build a fire as a young girl.
We were on a leadership camp with school, and each group was given a box of matches and a raw chicken, and told to make our own dinner! It was up to us to make the fire, suspend the chicken over it, and cook it until it was completely done (so we didn’t make ourselves sick).
We listened to what we were supposed to do and all sat there a little shell-shocked for a few minutes, until our grumbling bellies helped us to start making a plan to feed them 😊
First we had to gather kindling so the fire had something to start it off with
Next, some small twigs to catch light and give us flames big enough for the larger pieces of wood we gathered to stay lit.
Then large pieces that would make a fire hot enough to cook a whole chicken!
Phew, what I learned about making and sustaining a fire that day has stayed with me until now and helped me in so many areas of my life.
I realized on a coaching call with a client the other day, that this is exactly how we get to nurture our relationship with God too.

When my husband was about 6 years old, he had a dream (about 1974).
In the dream he was looking at a little screen on a band on his wrist. As he looked at it more closely, he realized that he could press the screen and images would appear.
He was so intrigued that he tucked that memory away even after he’d woken up.. Fast forward 40 years or so, and one day we were in the Apple store and he saw an Apple Watch!
I remember him blurting out in the middle of the store,
“hey, I dreamed about this when I was young, and now here it is!”
As we sat talking it through we realized that God had showed him something that wasn’t yet invented, and was sharing a secret from the treasuries of Heaven.
Isn’t that wild?!Well, do you know that we have a promise in 1 Corinthians 2:16 that we ‘have the Mind of Christ’?
In the Amplified Classic version it says, “ we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.”
