These words (and their actions) may not be as popular in our society as they once were. But that doesn’t make them any less valuable or important to God.
I’ve been in tears today as we celebrate this 200th episode of the Adventures with Jesus, Today podcast.
I realized that God has specifically had a piece of
wisdom,
revelation,
comfort,
encouragement,
correction,
love
etc etc etc, to give to us each week for the past 4 years!
How amazing is that!
He has lovingly ‘stuck with us’ for that long through this podcast - and He intends to continue to do so.

I used to think that becoming a Christian meant that my life would be carefree and happy all the time.
I mean isn’t that what the ‘sales brochure’ says?
Then I came across John 16:33 where Jesus says that we will have persecution in this life………..(ummmm)
BUT
Not to worry…
BECAUSE
He has overcome the world.
Well, this was a bit of a ‘wake-up call’ to me when I first realized what this could look like in my life.
BUT
As I have journeyed through that verse (and life with Jesus), I’ve come to realize that the REAL joy of Christianity is not WHAT life looks like, but WHO is walking through it with you.
When we live our lives from this perspective, we can see that being a ‘worrier’ isn’t any use at all. It’s being a ‘warrior’ with Jesus, and living from victory that is the promise of God for our lives.
What an amazing invitation to go on an adventure with Jesus Today. Will you accept?

Our daughter came to live with us when she was 11, and I found myself woefully in over my head as far as parenting was involved.
I so desperately wanted her to ’turn out OK’, that I thought I needed to be the only input in her life because then I could ‘control’ the outcome.
Wow, was I wrong…
It changed my life when I realized that I didn’t have to be my child’s only input
- I could let God bring others around her who could pour into her
- I didn’t feel left out or bad because I wasn’t that ‘answer’ for her
- I saw how well rounded and rich her thinking became because she could wrestle her own way and come to her own rock solid conclusions
When my team and I sit with our coaching clients, we simply tune into God’s heart and coach from that place.
- We don’t need to be the voice of input
- We don’t need to know all about your business or life
- We just get to hear what God has to say about you, and see your life become like what He created you to be

“You have to have that homework done by 8pm tonight”
“Our employees need to be paid by the last day of the month”
“We have to close on this house by the 15th or else someone else will get it”
Deadlines have a way of looming over us and causing us to feel so much anxiety and stress.
We feel the pressure (whether we put it on ourselves or it’s from someone else), and it’s crushing.
And then add to that, God doesn’t seem to be moved by those deadlines when we ask Him to help us to.
What’s up with that?
We can so often get mad with God for not ‘meeting’ our deadlines, but the Truth is that He is fully aware of them, and wants to bring us something even better!

“We have a hoarding situation that we’d like your help with please”
This was the cry for help from a client of our cleaning company – and they weren’t exaggerating.
We walked into the 750sq ft. unit and were greeted with shin-high piles of trash, clothing and RATS!
To say I was a little overwhelmed by the scope of work would be an understatement. So that’s when I turned to the only one Who knows how to handle every situation we will ever face.
“J e s u s, H e l p!”
Then, as only He can, He gave me wisdom that helped my company to find a win-win-win scenario for everyone involved (He’s really brilliant that way)

I was sitting on my couch watching the guy on TV confess to something that I felt too.
I’d been asking myself if I was even a ‘good Christian’ because the images I saw didn’t move me at all.
But if I really cared (like a good Christian should), then why didn’t they?
The story he shared next brought so much clarity to me that it changed the way I saw myself and others - forever.
God confirmed that He had made me for certain things that were simply different to what I was seeing – and it didn’t make me a ‘bad Christian’ not to be moved by them.
Something happened that day that has helped me to guide my clients into an understanding of who God specifically created them to be – and it has set them (and me) free to fly!
