How To Heal A Hurt Heart

I was talking with a coaching client and we were processing how to deal with it when our heart is just SO hurt!

 

You know when something has happened and it feels like your heart was cut and it’s just bleeding everywhere
(but you don’t know how to get out of the pain)?

 

What does it practically look like when God says that
He ‘binds up the broken-hearted’ in Isaiah 61:1?

Being Peaceful In The Storm

Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him,

“Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

(Mark 4:38)

 

 When we’re in the middle of a raging storm in our lives, sometimes we don’t understand why Jesus doesn’t seem to be as stressed about it as we are?!?

 

After all, the sea was so rough that even these hardy fishermen were scared (now that’s a bad storm!)

 

But just the fact that Jesus was WITH them, helped them through the circumstances that was terrifying them.

 

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

 

Now I don’t know about you, but I am so grateful that Jesus is with me in the storms of my life (just like He is with you too)

Unlock Your Day’s Potential

Death and life are in the power of the tongue,And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words. Pro 18:21 (Amp)

 

This verse stops me in my tracks!

The very real Truth that I will live with the consequences of the words I speak over myself, is highly sobering.

But when I sit and think about it for a moment, I’m actually filled with a ton of hope.

Expect The Goodness Of God

I’ve been hungry to see the miraculous nature of God for a loooooong time.

 

To actually experience so much of His amazing thinking and being in the world, that I am in a constant place of awe and wonder at Who He is.

 

The power of His unconditional love

(this one blows my mind – especially when I’m angry with someone)

His kind intentions toward us in every moment

(yes, even the ones that seem unbearable to us)

His thinking that is WAY bigger than ours and how He works every thread of our lives together into a magnificent tapestry that takes our breath away when He reveals it.

 

But this can seem like a BIG thing, right?

 

To be hungry for God like this all the time.

How do we do it?

 

In today’s episode I’m going to share a key that God gave me to help us stay in a place of expecting His goodness all throughout our day.

It brings that awareness of His kindness and goodness all through the day.

How To Run Your Race Successfully

Pain feels terrible! It’s just a fact.

 

And so we do all that we can to

try and get rid of it.

Find a solution.

Ignore it…

 

But what if pain is actually there for a reason, and it’s a good reason?

 

What if we actually stopped and looked at the pain – its cause, its function, its purpose, and took positive, God-led action? Imagine what could happen!?

 

In today’s episode I’ll talk through a concept that has the ability to CHANGE the way you view the pain you experience in your life, and actually motivate you to walk through it well (Jesus modeled this for us to follow…).

The Most Important Key To Christian Life

I’ve had thousands of hours of talks, coaching, mentoring and spiritual guidance conversations over the years and there is a KEY component that always comes up – hearing the voice of God.

 

I know, I know… it can be a touchy question for most of us.

 

◼️ How do I know if it’s REALLY God’s voice I’m hearing?

◼️ Can I trust what I hear (‘cos there’s a lot riding on this decision for me)?

◼️ Can He hear me?

◼️ What do I talk to Him about?

◼️ Can I tell Him anything? Will He understand what I’m going through?

 

And these are all totally legitimate questions that we’d all like answers to.

 

It’s a real step of faith to believe that we can communicate with the Creator of the Universe (and that He actually wants to communicate with us too!).

How God comforts us when we’re sad

“… (Name) suddenly died of a massive heart attack yesterday”

The news stopped me in my tracks!

 

“But, I just saw him not too long ago at church and he looked fine…”

As I’ve been thinking about the news of my friend’s death Jesus has shown me some Truths about processing through hard things with Him (and how He comforts us when we do).

1. We can come to Him and tell Him all the things we’re really feeling. He’s felt them all (Heb 4:15) and wants to process them with us (Heb 4:16)

2. He is our comfort as we navigate times when we’re experiencing grief, pain, anxiety, anger, despair…

3. He will walk through the process with us and gently see us to the other side (John 16:33)

 

So my friend, if you are going through a hard season or a difficult event, then listen to or watch today’s podcast episode and let Jesus comfort you, process with you and walk through it with you – He loves to do so.
