We ALL face temptations every day - even Jesus did.
In each of our lives there are places where the enemy knows he can poke at us. Places where we're vulnerable that he takes advantage of.
It's the his job to try to tempt us away from God, and when we realize this, we have a way to successfully choose abundant life instead.
There is an exquisite Truth in 1 Cor 10:13 that helps us understand how to deal with temptation - from God's perspective.
Think about this...
If the oil light went on on your car's dash you could choose one of two reactions:
1. Oh I can't believe I didn't check my oil. It's all my fault for missing the annual oil change appointment and now my engine will burn out.
2. Sweet, now I know that my oil levels are low, I'll check them and fill up the tank again.
One is 'falling' into temptation. One is being tempted and turning to the Truth for a remedy.

Sometimes the circumstances in front of us (in our own lives, or others), can seem really daunting.
Like things are so bad that they look insurmountable.
We've tried everything we know to do and our situation has just stayed the same.
This was my story for so many years of my life.
I was so acutely aware of all that was going on around me, that I'd get overwhelmed by the darkness and the seeming victory the enemy was having in people's lives.
However, as we grow in our understanding of who God is and how He operates in our lives, we begin to turn a corner and live from a place of hope.
Hope is the confident expectation of the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Now that's something to get excited about.
In this podcast episode you'll be reminded of the power of God that is ALWAYS at work in our lives. He is always good. He is always with us. He is always redeeming, restoring, renewing, recompensing, reinstating, reinvigorating...and THAT is what will break the back of what the enemy is doing.

God asked me one day, “Lisa, are you
being driven by fear
Or
led by dreams?
Well, that stopped me in my tracks.
As I sat and thought that through, I realized that the fear I was feeling to make a decision quickly, was ‘driving’ me and I felt all the ‘stress feels’.
Let’s be honest with ourselves…this happens to all of us.
In His kindness, God loves to help us stop, check in with what’s motivating us and then move forward from peace instead of fear.

God is always communicating. Even when we can't seem to hear what He's saying, He is still connecting with us in so many different ways.
- A thought to send someone a text with an encouraging Bible verse
- A beautiful flower along the path on your morning walk
- Thinking about someone and praying through their circumstances with Him
They're like beautiful little gifts that we receive throughout our day.
He loves to partner with us in this way and bring joy to us and to everyone around us. We see His intentional goodness throughout the day and we get to share it.
As you go through your day, ask the Holy Spirt to help you be aware of what He is doing. To bring to your attention how you get to partner with Him to steward the gifts He's given not only you, but those around you too.

There is a HUGE privilege that God gives each one of us every day - the privilege to bless His heart and put a big smile on His face.

It's a REAL privilege to be interacting with each other and to have the opportunity to see each other through God's eyes.
